Zinc plated cold shuts are for use with proof coil chain to repair or connect chain as well as to attach hooks, rings or other end fittings. The cold shut is the most inexpensive method of repairing or connecting chain, simply drive the cold shut end through eye of fitting or link of chain and pen.

• Bent steel construction with a zinc plated finish, cold shuts are closed by driving the open end through the eye and peening the end using a hammer
• Suggested applications - for the temporary repair of low carbon chain and for attaching fittings, the maximum load of the cold shut must match that of the chain being repaired or joined
• 3/8" opening width never exceed working load limit, not intended for overhead lifting
